Sax @ the Six - celebrating the saxophone

On the 29th October 2008, Yamaha and the 606 club will be presenting a night devoted solely to the saxophone. Between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, sax players will have the opportunity to bring along their mouthpieces and try out the biggest and most varied display of Yamaha Pro Custom saxes at our trial session. This is also a great opportunity to speak to some of Yamaha's top technicians who will be on hand to assist players and answer any technical questions.
Later on in the evening there is a chance to grab some food, (booking is essential as the club can get very busy) and enjoy some funky live music. The 606 club offers a wide variety of high quality food which you can sit and enjoy in the clubs unique surroundings. Featuring 5 of the UK's top session players all playing Yamaha saxes, Simon Bates, Dave Bishop, Nik Carter, Aaron Liddard and Nigel Hitchcock will be performing a variety of great music during the evening.
These fantastic saxophonists will be accompanied by the outstanding Gareth Williams Trio, featuring Gareth on keys, Laurence Cottle on bass and Ian Thomas on drums. Sax @ the Six promises to be a fantastic night out and a great opportunity to see Yamaha's superb Pro Custom saxophones.
